SELIMA is partnering with the Life lab Foundation to organise the first SELLIMA – LIFE LAB Teacher Training for Astronomy and Space Engineering.
The 2021/22 edition of the training is organised as a series of online teaching units and final evaluation unit. The training will end with the opening of a CHEOPS data challenge. We plan to be able to provide certificates to successful participants together with the Network for Astronomy School Education (NASE) and possibly with the Galileo Teacher Training Programme (GTTP).
A standard teaching unit has a duration of 3 hours. Teaching units are currently planned to start in September 2021 and, ideally, will be delivered on a bi-weekly basis.
We plan to provide further details on the training by end of April 2021.
If you are interested to join the preparation and delivery of the training or interested to receive the training, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org .
On Monday, 25 November 2019, we will kick off the first project to which SELLIMA has a contribution. The draft agenda for the kick-off meeting is available via this URL:
We are setting up this new project together with the Jesuit Worldwide Learning (JWL). The JWL provides equitable high quality tertiary learning to people and communities at the margins of societies – be it through poverty, location, lack of opportunity, conflict or forced displacement – so all can contribute their knowledge and voices to the global community of learners and together foster hope to create a more peaceful and humane world. SELLIMA’s contribution will be to study, develop and operate a network of Flyseye camera systems.
If you are interested to follow the presentations remotely, please drop us a line via email@example.com.
